era accurate 3rd party controllers
Are there any era accurate 3rd party controllers you guys liked? Not modern devices, but things you picked up at the time? despite what people say some of the old logitech and madcatz controllers are pretty good and i think its fun to switch it up every now and then.

The Madcatz PS2 controllers have normal ass D-Pads, some even with Sega-style rolling ones, so that instantly makes them objectively superior to official Dualshocks.

There's a "third party" wireless Mega Drive 3-button controller that's pretty good. Made by the same company that made the original Sega controllers but without Sega branding. Unfortunately a regular dpad instead of the reverse dpad but still pretty good, though not as good as the later Sega-branded wireless 6-button pads.
The wireless Logitech controllers for the original Xbox are pretty good, the later ones specifically. The early ones are huge and need like half a dozen batteries, don't get those. Most of them have a really fancy dpad where each direction gets its own spring and it feels excellent.

Yeah I remember having 2 different Logitech early Xbox wireless controller that required 4 batteries which was crazy. They looked nice though. From what I remembered they worked pretty well too. I threw em out eventually because I left the batteries in for a few years and I think it leaked and damaged the components. Can’t remember still feel bad about it.

One controller I’m super fond of is the madcatz micro-controlller it came out in different see through colors and it’s like 75 percent the size of the normal controllers

Ascii made some good shit. Especially in Japan.

Ascii vs Hudson?
Which is better? Now that's a real question.

Not true, I got that one over a couple decades ago. Since the controller fits me so well, I got another in case and haven't gotten to use it yet.

It is still here. It goes with me wherever I move since I couldn't afford new/more furniture.
