This is /vr/ right? If we're talking about emulating old shit, I'm pretty sure both Linux and Windows have access to most emulators and will work about the same. But Linux won't capture your screen every three seconds and then use AI to extract information from the images and build a profile on you.

This, it's why I'm glad to be a Deck owner. (Bonus points for also being a great emu machine.)

Yikes, doesn't that introduce overhead? I'm well aware it's possible to go for a debloated LTSC edition, but I'm not sure if that's any better than sticking with SteamOS. I guess it's an appealing option if I absolutely need ShaderGlass for non-RA stuff.
Because it's unironically much easier to get a couple retro computer games working in wine than it is to setup and deal with a (whether it be virtual, or physical) Windows 9x machine
>>11895372 >"debloat" Windows 11 >only gets rid of maybe 5% of the telemetry >still uses 4GB of RAM after a cold boot >still have a shitty GUI where basic components like the Start Menu are written in fucking JavaScript

the concerns for ubuntu are completely overblown and aren't stuff other distros don't also do just more quietly. Just look at redhat.
I use opensuse tumbleweed btw
Because the ARM version of Windows sucks major dicks and is a bloated mess if you just need something very lightweight purely for a specific task. Such as running the background OS for my MiSTer.

by the way you can't even remove the windows 11 start menu popup without finding a powershell script online
worse humiliation ritual than actually playing neslop
The only reason i'm running windows now has nothing to do with games honestly.
Once file pilot and rad debugger gets ported over I won't have much of an excuse to use windows anymore.
