Yeah I know, it's the best. Amazing pacing, the game throws new stuff at the player constantly as well, I swear almost every single enemy is different. High skill ceiling also with an incredible moveset.

and you look nothing like your father, because your mom's a cheating whore - what's your point?

it really is a spectacular game and not many have come close to it. Sega will always be the king of beat em ups
>Dynamite Deka
>Guardian Heroes
>Golden Axe
>Altered Beast
>Streets of Rage
>Zombie Revenge
More recently
>Yakuza
>MadWorld
A few others I'm forgetting surely

That's just you getting filtered, zoomie.
No game released in the last 15 years is better than Die Hard Arcade.

Still the best facial animations for the era.

beat em ups were always meant to be in polygonal 3d
i will never forgive fighting force for turning people off on the idea
and scott pilgrim for making 2d beat em ups popular again
this pretty much made most indie brawlers to be yet another beats of rage lookalike
and halted the genre's natural progression into arena fighters as was established by power stone and spikers battle
but i guess we got some musou likes and dmc likes still kicking so that's cool

I dunno, 3d bmup devs are too afraid to let enemies clip into each other, so you can't group 10 enemies together to combo them all at once like you can in 2d bmups

Why did I believe this was a light gun game? I’ll have to check this out. Did a psx version come out or is it a Saturn exclusive (not counting arcade).

You are thinking of Die Hard Trilogy, a completely different game. That one did come out for PS1 and PC, and the section based on Die Hard 2 film was a light gun shooter.

I played this in the 90s in the arcade. The Saturn version just doesn't compare.

Arcade version runs on ST-V motherboard, that's the exactly same hardware as Saturn in an arcade form factor.

How do you go from Die Hard Arcade to this genuine piece of shit? (Obviously I just mean the SEGA thing as they're probably different devs) Easily my biggest retro disappointment for how much I built it up in my head. Still better than pure trash like Fighting Force but not by much.

I like Zombie Revenge. It's not as good as Dynamite Deka 1 or 2, but it's a solid game.

It has stiff and bad combat made even worse depending on which character you play and original mode is single player only for some absolutely retarded reason.

doesn't this game have you play Deep Scan to earn credits? pretty cool way to handle a home port

If only Neo Geo AES games let you play Yosaku or something to earn credits before system wide cheating was possible.

I doubt most devs are gonna add a minigame, I just want a simple amount of credits like 5-10-20 or even 40 if it's a really tough one.

Wow definitely going to have to try die hard arcade then. I guess for some reason I always thought the games were the same.

Woah, what’s wrong w fighting force? Rented as a kid w a buddy (64 version if that matters) and really the big complaint we had was it was way to short. I also haven’t played it since release so.. but I do remember having fun w it.
