ITT: Failed systems with games worth playing
Anonymous No.11913009 >>11913021 >>11913024 >>11917430 >>11921710
Doesn't just about every /vr/ system except some of the really really obscure gen 2 ones have some games worth playing? Even shit like the N-Gage had at least one good game.

CD-I has the superior versions of many games like 7th Guest, Lost Eden, and Burn:Cycle (which is really good despite what nigger-brained vinesauce zoomers would have you believe.)

Uhhh, Lights Out?

>R Zone
Honestly, I would argue that doesn't even count as a system. It was basically just those Tiger LCD games but with a base unit you had to plug them into. Did that thing even have a CPU in it or was all the logic happening on the LCD carts and the base unit was just used for power and inputs?

>>11913031
>>Burn:Cycle (which is really good despite what nigger-brained vinesauce zoomers would have you believe.)

>Mostly was praised for being a CD-I game that wasn't absolute shit

Yeah, I doubt it.

Anonymous No.11913157 >>11913252

Yes. The CD-i was never meant to be a games console but devs were constantly pushed into shoehorning barely functional slop into hardware that had no business running it. Burn:Cycle was exclusive for a while too but made by people who actually knew what they were doing. That’s why it became the pack-in and the other game didn’t.

Game.com has a version of resident evil 2 that's worth checking out just as a novelty. Not the worst thing I've played desu senpai. Also the n-gage has quite a few games that are good. Elder scrolls shadowkey and pathway to glory are legit good games worth playing.

A girl in my auto shop class in high school had an N-Gage QD. Only one I've ever seen in the wild. I could've have a shot at getting with her, but she was kind of a butterface. Very hot body, brightest red hair I've ever seen. We used to smoke weed together in between working on the cars.

We used to take turns playing Tob Raider. Impressive port.

Depends what you mean by failed
Astrocade has a pretty good number of above average games, it sold well but only for 2 years or so
MegaDuck no but it was probably capable of it
Pokemon mini, I assume no but capable of it
GX4000 not included because its a computer in a different case so it had many good games
Hanimex Soundic, just typical pong games but probably sold a lot for the time

>>11913069
it has hundreds of games, I consider a failed system something that lasts a couple of months and then they send back the unsold stock

saturn was a huge failure in the west sadly since it barely moved stock and the fact that Tom Kalisnke was being an entitled dickwad for not having shit his way while SoJ kept messing up good plans and fucked up even having sony to work with them to fuck nintendo up internationally with their incessant infighting with Tom and SoA. Bernie coming in to sabotage any chance for a late revival for the console and his huge mistake at divesting from jrpgs BEFORE FFVII proved to be a massive success does not help matters at all either. the us/eu version also had like 1/3 of the entire japanese library with barely any games made by western third parties so they had to rely on localizing japanese games instead, which bernie also fucked that up. but hey, it at least the n64 in japan which is still big with 700+ games in its library but that's it

i guess i fumbled the wording, there. i meant that the saturn had beaten the n64 in japan and had like 700-1000+ games in its library in total. but that's the only success it had, in japan. the saturn was a horrible failure anywhere else though, sincr sony was raping sega sideways with a cheaper, arguably better console

That’s from the retail library. Then you got Iron Soldier 2 which is actually damn good, an expansion pack for a game Protector, and World Tour Racing which needs the emulator to give it a proper FPS. Turn off the gravel texture to make it better, if you get that far. There’s other stuff but that’s its key worth.
