Your recent retro gaming achievement
Finally beat FF1 with only White Mages (no class change). Turns out this wasn't all that difficult. Once you make it past Astos, the rest of the game is not that much of a problem. It's the early part that's a challenge where all you can do is cast RUSE on yourself and slowly plink away at enemies with 1-2 HP of damage done to them.
I would do a solo run next, but I looked into it and it basically amounts to cheating to win the game? You have to abuse the peninsula northeast of Pravoka, and you have to save scum to abuse the stat gaining during level ups otherwise you have no chance of beating the final dungeon. If that's what it takes then what's the point? Maybe a solo Knight can beat the game the honest way, so I might try that.

4 white mages? That will never work.
If you really want a retro challenge you should go outside and talk to a real-life girl.

If you didn't pedestalize women so much, maybe they would talk to you.

This. Also, are you reading how to do the challenges then just following someone's instructions? If so, wtf is the point of doing a challenge run? Someone else already figured everything out for you.

Not my achievement but when we were kids my sister was playing casino kid for the NES and was playing poker with King(the final boss) and chipping away at him till one hand he does the pre cards all in move. She gets delt 1 card missing from a royal flush and just says fuck it let's try it and it hits and she lands a royal flush to win the game. I figure some crap might have been programmed into the game for that but years later I look it up and there's nothing, she really just got this one in a million hand to win the game.

One day I'll go back to Dracula XX and do that no hit playthrough I've always wanted to do. I always ended up getting hit once or twice.

Not sure how tough it really was, but it feels like an accomplishment. I soloed Alice in SMT2.
>no heroine/healer at the moment
>no demons out because I was low on money and MAG
>open chest
>1/255 chance for a Fiend boss to spawn
>get Alice, fight takes about 10-12 minutes
>her instant death spells fortunately all miss
>almost run out of Beads
Got one of the best melee weapons in the game for your heroine from her. Felt pretty great.

A couple of months ago I did a whip-only run of Castlevania 1.
Death was a bitch, everything else was 100% reasonable. It made me appreciate the level design way more. When you don't rely on broken subweapons it becomes clear how well placed everything is and how well it flows.
