Hated the non-Spyro parts, especially the yeti and monkey. Hated how all the minigames were in their only separate space, made the world feel disconnected.

True, they all kept getting worse with each entry, except for maybe Sly. But I'm not even baiting right now I genuinely think that 1>2>3 applies to Crash, Spyro and Jak
I thought the hub worlds were actually really good and the levels/story were cool.
For me its more like 1=2>3. I like the first two for different reasons.

Playing the remastered trilogy as an adult and uninstalled the whole game during a rynorc skateboarding section because I just didn’t feel like doing that shit to progress.

I only like Spyro 1. Every subsequent game makes the gems a pain in the ass by scattering them all over the environments at seemingly random and I dont care for the weird objectives they kept adding. Spyro 2 isnt tooooo bad but 3 is just awful. Spyro 3 is far more tedious than DK64.

No, not at all. Spyro One had an ethereal sense of solitude as you went on a big adventure by yourself. Two was where they started padding it with wacky side characters and powers and back tracking.
I love all three Spyros equally
There isn't a single minigame in 2 or 3 that I don't like
Spyro 3 was almost the first game I beat in a single sitting because I couldn't get enough of it

In Spyro 2 and 3, instead of simply reaching the NPC conversation as the goal all the time they often had the NPCs give you a task to complete. I think it's a straight upgrade from 1 in terms of gameplay and design and creativity.

I played the hell out of 1 and 2, and retarded me even liked RaC 2 and 3 better than 1 with all the extra bullshit back then, but not Spyro 3.

This. Granted i might have played 2 and 3 but not 1 but i really dont see why 3 gets such hate. The only objective difference there is, is the levels and minigames with different characters and thats pretty cool so, i dont see how this is a bad addition to me. There's still huge levels, complex levels, fun levels, the minigames are interesting too, the soundtrack is baller as ever so i dont see why 3 gets shit on so much.

1 feels incomplete. In an ideal situation the devs would've built off the foundation 1 set, but instead they opted to just fill the game with minigames.

It has the best visuals of the series and is probably in the top 5 Playstation games in that regard, but it's held back by mediocre game design.
