Is a pinball table.
And yeah Congo on Saturn is kind of a hidden gem, Doom/"boomer shooters" autists haven't discovered it tet.

I looked it up and it's not a hidden gem by any means, it's a hidden turd that stinks of garbage. Even the reviewers at the time said it was a poor Doom clone.

i hated it but appreciate it more as time goes on
i have my gripes with it still but I get the appeal and still will grab it to play some.
main gripes was the clunkiness really, game feels a bit clunky compared to something by like konami
that being said I've turned around on it and appreciate it more now and find it more enjoyable the more time I put in, instead of a brief short stint of playing and being like 'this sucks'

Congo is one of the worst FPS I've played in my entire life, and I've played more than a hundred, only dethroned by the aborted GBA version of Medal of Honor Underground.

I always liked the atmosphere and just the nostalgia I associate it with the Jurassicmania of the mid 90s, but it's still a western-developed platformer with questionable controls and level design. It's not offensively bad but not great either. The Master System game or the top-down NES/SNES/GB games are more enjoyable to me.

Back then every FPS was called a "Doom clone," like it was literally the genre's name until there were enough FPS games for people to start thinking it was dumb to keep referencing a years-old game with dated tech.

let me guess, you didn't think to pick up medicine before your character catches a disease. Once you get sick the game deliberately feels worse and worse to control until you take some pills.

Starfox Adventures is actually a great dino game for a kid.
People hate on it because they watched some youtuber tell them that it was supposed to be a different game and bla bla but if your kid is still a kid and not a media consoomer, he should be able to enjoy this game, it's basically Zelda meets Dinotopia with Starfox characters (and the few arwing missions are awesome, but too short).
It's Rare's last great game.

Same. Give Batman: Return of the Joker a try on NES and Game Boy, superb titles by Sunsoft which feel like proper follow ups to their Batman 1989 titles, before losing the title to Batman Returns to Konami.

on GB I've played Batman - The Video Game and Batman - The Animated Series (and I plan on playing the GBC one based on the show as well); but I gave up on Return of the Joker because it felt like shit to play. I didn't like the controls, nor how the enemies flee after taking one hit. You're saying I should give it another chance?
Anonymous No.11926105 >>11926183
>>11925553
The opposite, it was too easy on Saturn because of collision detection issues. You could pass through certain objects that would kill you on PS1. It was too forgiving when it came to enemies being able to hit you, but on the flip side, it also made it inconsistent when you were trying to attack enemies, but that was only really an issue on the Velociraptor and especially the Trex levels where you needed to eat people to regain health.

I had my issues with it early on, but it's not bad when you get used to how it feels and controls, which shouldn't take more than a few minutes. I find it to be a flawed gem that's often hard for the wrong reasons, which is why I've only beat it on Easy, without cheating, and on Normal with the aid of save states, even with save states I couldn't beat Hard, it's difficult and frustrating...

...what it does well though? I think it's worth it, some good platforming and level design, nice aesthetics and OST.

the SNES game is just a complete inferior release to the DOS release, the DOS Amiga release wasn't as cut and censored like the SNES release
