Because 64 was the go to console if you had a lot of friends or siblings.

Rare was on fire on the N64.
I had fun with Goldeneye, Banjo, DK64 and CBFD, but actually my most played games back then and favorites of mine are KI Gold, Blast Corps and Jet Force Gemini.

That's kind of a normal amount for any system. Maybe even a low amount, once you factor out all of the M&M's Racing or Garfield Racing tier shovelware that it wasn't getting.
