The PS2 is third-world coded. That alone is a good enough reason to consider buying a used GameCube or OG Xbox instead for retro gaming.

I wish I could say otherwise but it’s absolutely true. The ps2 is still a very important console for us here in Mexico at least.

No it's not. It just happens to be popular there because it was overwhelmingly popular literally everywhere. Brown coded would be something like those handheld tetris LCD games or a Famiclone in a fake PolyStation shell with brittle plastic controllers that don't work half the time and which contain 1000 games aka 990 nonsensical rom hacks of Mario and 10 hacks of battle city.
