This doesn't do anything. Stop thinking it does.

Better clarity and contrast. Get your eyes checked.

It's pretty much composite without dot crawl.

>when your grandparents/aunts/uncles/parents took the luddite pill to shave off $20-50 when buying a TV that didn't include AV ports
Fucking Christ I hated this mindset.

Or, you know, just had old ass TVs. It wasn't until I was in high school in the early 2000's that we finally gave up on failing tuner on our ancient TV and got a "modern" CRT that had additional inputs.

There is literally nothing wrong with RF and the act of turning your TV to channel 3 to play the Nintendo was pure soul.

You didn't need more.
Also, the VCR hooked up to the TV most likely had an extra AV input for your vidya games console.

It wasn't a "mindset". People went to whatever department store was close by and bought what they could afford. I remember going to AMES with my mom and dad and getting a 24" Magnavox to replace our 13" set. A colossal amount of TVs were RF only, all the way through the end of the CRT era.

Big jump in quality from composite. Bigger jump from composite>s-video than s-video>component.

I thought you needed the box and all until earlier last year. Swapping that for an adapter and shielded coax does wonders
