In fact, most of these old school collections after the 6th gen were fucking awful.

What a grim setup.

You niggas do know you can buy a Wii with shit loads of accessories for 20 dollars and find pretty decent CRTs for like 10-20 bucks?
You can mod your Wii in 10 minutes and emulate everything up until the 4th gen perfectly, plus arcade games, plus most N64, plus all of the GameCube and Wii libraries. You can even dabble in some PS1 emulation, but that kinda sucks on the Wii ngl

Stop playing games on your phone, like holy fuck

>worst way to /vr/ is og hardware
I wanted to disagree, but actually this is right. There are so many ways to adapt a controller to an emulator setup now that hardware is a moot point. I guess multiplayer games might be the only exception?

The QoL is whatever outside of fast forward.
The bigger issue is having to deal with batteries.

Any torrented/pirated copies online

Costs for a PC functional enough for this setup are more expensive than just about all console and game combinations in existence

Even third worlders can emulate thousands of games with their cheap 10 year old laptops and phones, really not getting your message there.

Nah, I have a 2000$ PC and it can barely run NES games. But it's okay if you are an emulatorfag who doesn't care about authenticity I guess

You don't need to lash out if you don't understand how to setup an emulator kid, just ask nicely and the anons will (most likely) help out.

And the emulation quality for those shitty laptops and phones is fucking horseshit and the worse way to play retro games since it it. To get it to a somewhat manageable quality (that is nothing still like the real experience) you are talking thousands range

If you sunk costs already then why not, have to cut your losses somehow. Still will be off for most games.

Nah more like tens of thousands if you are aiming to play 4th gen games. If you want PS1 then it's probably like a 10000000$ PC
>Still will be off for most games.
No shit. Playing a torrent remake made by god knows whom will never be the same as playing an authentic copy of an actual game made by actual professional devs

Unless you're a zoomer who never actually played those games to notice the inaccuracies and think that simply having the games run at 60+ fps is enough to consider the emulation "flawless", you have no excuse to lie like this. It would take a very small amount of time to message the devs of these emulators, they'd confirm that it's far from flawless.

Atari 2600 games maybe but definitely not NES and beyond. And PCs don't even have cartridge slots so you can't really play authentic copies, you have to play torrented and pirated games that are WAY different. If you weren't a retarded zoomer you'd know that
