Are there any games that are beloved or that your friends have played that you just can't get into no matter what?
Not that you find the game to be bad or anything, but it never catches you and you simply stop playing before it "gets good" because you'd rather do something else.

For me, it's Chrono Trigger.
No matter how many times I start it, I've never actually met Lucca and began the game properly.
I know it's a great game but, unlike something like FF7, it feels like it starts with a really bland and uninteresting normal world where you got nothing important going on.

I get to the world map like 2 hours in and then i always quit

Resident Evil 3, I just don't like the game no matter how hard I try. I try to bullshit myself into enjoying it by appreciating the backgrounds/music/etc but I'm used to RE being that one horror series that is relatively fun to actually play unlike most other games in the genre and for some reason 3 in particular just doesn't click with me. I don't feel bad for thinking that CV and 0 are dogshit because that's pretty much what everyone feels like but RE3 is actually a lot of people's favorite so...

Megaman, the entire series. I like running and shooting, and I just want to turn the game off a minute or less into the level.

Any Pokemon game past Gen 1(they’re all the same and the core concept isn’t that engaging to me).
People also rave about Metroid Prime but I didn’t like it.

Golden Sun I just can't with. I found the intro too long (ironic cause I love DQVII) and the graphics are just so butt ugly.
