>Bubsy is only hated because retards heard from an e-celeb that it's bad
So tired of this "This thing that is hated is only hated because a YouTube video told you so!"
No, he's hated because the games suck. I didn't need a YouTube video to tell me that, I didn't even watch any YouTube videos about Bubsy. I came to that conclusion myself when I tried replaying the games again as an adult. I used to think Bubsy 1 was great as a kid, an older relative had it and I would play it there often, but he hated it and I never understood why. I rented 2 and didn't like it as much.
Years later after emulators became a thing and I had internet I tried it again, and realized why my older relative hated it. Every 10 seconds it was "Oh yeah, I remember that, I always didn't like that part" until I realized I was essentially feeling that way about the entire game. I didn't realize how many flaws the game had as a kid but now they were standing out like a sore thumb. The game is not good, it has many issues, they can't even get jumping on things right. Or rather, I should say they can't even get jumping on things correct because right is exactly what happens, for some odd reason the game keeps making you veer to the right on most things you jump off of, this happens even on the very first thing you can jump off in the game, a tree branch. Not to mention the camera not being able to follow you, the one-hit deaths that result, the excessively long levels, the random times the game decides on fall damage or not (which is also one-hit), the many times there can be a death trap right off-screen below an area you are expected to jump down, and plenty of other issues. And that's just Bubsy 1!
I didn't need a YouTube video to tell me any of this, I didn't watch any YouTube videos about it, I experienced it myself both decades ago and more recently. I can come to my own conclusions, and the conclusion is that the games sucked. They are ONLY remembered now as a meme to be shat on.
