I had that garbage on the NES. It didn't so much as scare the shit out of me as it did piss me the fuck off that I wasted 1 of the 2 games I got per year on it.

Have you played the SNES version? Completely different game, plays like Metroid.

I rented this as a kid. I remember it being heart pumping arcade action, not scary. I died because I couldn’t find all the prisoners within the time limit. Ecco The Dolphin creeped me out more than this game.

Is kinda the same situation with Jurassic Park where the SNES game is just the DOS game with a ton of stuff cut and censored to fit the cart and it still good.

NES Alien 3 is a game I really want to play more of. I don't think I made it past level 2. To anyone who beat it: did you have to draw maps in the later levels or are things easy enough by memory?

I guess I'm a bit younger than most of yas but Metroid Prime gave me quite the spook as a kid. When you scan that dead pirate and it says his spine was severed. I had to ask my parents what severed means and they were like "where'd you see severed, champ?" That first level was just really spooky

The satanic atmosphere in Diablo was way too much for 7-year old me.
Also, the game over screen in Aladdin for the Genesis freaked me out. First jump scare I ever saw.

when you come back into the shop after stealing and the clerk is standing out of place waiting for you and then fucks you up with a kamehameha and the scary music
seriously fucked me up as a child and ill never forget it. its made worse that i didn't return to the shop for some time and had forgotten i stole. also the game changes your name to THIEF for the rest of the game lol
