How have you not heard about Crystalis?

If you're not opposed to turn based, the other two FF games on GB (aka Saga), or Dragon Warrior Monsters.
Maybe even James Bond for GB.

Not him but it cuts it down to a pretty specific era/style of game. Like no one is expecting a GB RPG to play like FFVI or DQV or something, you expect it to have a certain minimalist feeling. Link's Awakening vs LttP is a very easy example, or comparing OP game to Terranigma or something
