How is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy?
Anonymous No.11956136 >>11956148
It successfully tricked me into playing a VN for the first time, so I'd say it's pretty fucking good.

An absolute must if you've never played any other version.

Heh, remember the era when we unironically called Ace Attorney a lawyer simulator?

i prefer the DS versions' graphics by a lot. the spritework is an improvement on the original artwork in my opinion.
the remastered trilogy isn't a bad way to play the game if you don't have a DS and don't want to emulate, though.

You mean the gba graphics

no, the GBA graphics are pretty rough. they were cleaned up quite a bit for the DS re-releases.

The DS and GBA versions look pretty much identical aside from DS having two screens, the real reason not to play the GBA versions is because they aren’t in English and translation attempts have been shit.

I really enjoyed the first one. The second one wore me down a bit. I can't get back that pleasure that the first one gave me to get through 3 yet. So at the very least, the first one is must play gba/ds gold

The localization is not retro, only GBA Gyakuten Saiban is really /vr/

It's OK, we all played the Korean fan translation here.

GBA was basically a Gyakuten Saiban machine for me at the time. The trilogy is so fucking great; one of those "this is why I play video games" experiences
I played the DS port of the first game because I wanted to play the new added case, but the 2nd and 3rd DS ports didn't add anything (besides the microphone option) so I didn't bother with those

The redrawn art looks cheap, but the games themselves are still great.
