The color palette. GT3 has a very warm overall palette and some really interesting track lighting that's basically custom tailored to show off road reflectivity, tree shadows, etc. Same as how GT3 has totally different skyboxes and lighting on some courses for the reverse version compared to forward. The effects like headlight flares or color shift paint on cars are exaggerated just a little and even the HUD is the classic Gran Turismo orange (plus the awesome 'in car' look of the first person gauges with the trip meter and fake VFD panel). GT4 is really flat in its lighting and ugly in its color choices, which I guess is more realistic but just feels cold and harsh instead.
