imma be honest
i never played one
i even have like a dozen of them for xbox too
my friends younger brother bought seemingly every tactical shooter (also every racing game) for xbox. and that was almost it. i was almost gonna let him (my friend) throw em out, but then i saw thief and mercernaries and hitman and a couple other good games i knew about, so i grabbed the whole box

whats a good one on xbox thats not too insanely autistic?

I’ve never played tactical shooters before. The ones I remember seeing at Walmart with my parents were the America’s Army games, which, as far as I know, were basically propaganda meant to get the youth to enlist in the Army.

Rainbow Six Rogue Spear if we're talking just based on one singular title.

Tons of content, great AI, great variety, great multiplayer, great replayability, great mission design, great level design, just all around a great game.

Honestly Ghost Recon because you can save at anytime or as many time as you want during a mission.

Ghost Recon 2

Nah, you just had to have some patience and an attention span to play something like ghost recon in 2002. Today’s gamers just want slop fed to them.

>America’s Army
Never played it, just thought it was fun to fire up the game and shoot my drill instructor the second I got a rifle.

I'm interested in Raven Shield but learned there's no in-mission save system which is a little offputting. I don't really want to restart a mission if I die or lose men. Is it not that bad when you play?

First ghost recon, unreal tournament, and halo.

Because they were the last of their kind. Once Xbox blew up and introduced a generation of mouth breathing bros to gaming with Halo and COD it was over for tactical shooters. They never stood a chance. Tactical shooters, stealth games and RPGs all felt the wrath of "Call of Duty's Audience." RPGs have since made a full recovery. Hell I actually enjoy some of the RPG revival titles (Pathfinder, Solasta, BG3) as much as I enjoyed the games they are trying to emulate. The new Hitman games are decent stealth games if you play on the hardest difficulty with no disguises and no accidents (the best way to play imo)

Tactical shooters have never recovered. We got....Ready or Not a 3edgy5m3 tryhard buggy mess, Arma (which is a glorified Modkit) and a bunch of broken promises that call themselves games. This is not counting multiplayer slop. There's nothing out there that comes close to Rainbow Six 1-3, Ghost Recon and SWAT 4. It's a shame. It's a genre that should be evolving and benefiting from technological advances. Those games are dated as fuck and should be seen as such, but nothing has come along that has even continued what they were doing.

PAJEEETS are unable to program AI good enough for a game like that

You can beat the whole game of Raven Shield in roughly 2 to 3 hours....Although if you don't want to lose men, and how fast you are will effect that. Old Rainbow Six was primarily about running missions repeatedly, refining your tactics, to the point where none of your guys died, and at the very least, only a few got injured.

Missions are generally only 5 to 15-20 minutes long each, but replaying them constantly trying to refine them will easily double it in length. If you play missions methodically and slowly, it will cut down on mission restarts, but you also risk losing more of your "progress" as well.

>ready or not
>buggy mess
It's not 2023 anymore, unc. There's also Ground Branch, which is promising. SCP 5K is also an interesting supernatural take on the genre.

GRAW 1 and 2 on PC, and Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising are solid titles. R6 Vegas 1 and 2, Sniper Elite 1, Men of Valor, Line of Sight Vietnam, Hidden and Dangerous 1 and 2, and Brothers in Arms are all also solid tactical shooters. They don't have the depth of the others listed, but they're good. Also, how dare you not mention SWAT 3.

Retard. Rainbow Six and SWAT 3 predates 9/11 and Ghost Recon was only released one month afterward. Hidden & Dangerous isn't even made by Americans.
