It's more fun to play than modern racing games because there's a qualifier lap that you have to win without running into billboards and stopping for five seconds, which makes it impossible to make it to the end of the lap. There are then three grand prix laps, in which you must reach the end of the race track without sliding off it and crashing into a billboard or touching the grass, or you won't complete the lap and get game over.

I should have clarified that if you run into any billboards or the grass, it's nearly impossible to finish even the qualifier and make it to the next lap. The timer runs out before you cross the finish line, and you get a game over.
