Kind of are. HR is cool because it feels like it was made by people who didn't understand how FPS games work and then they just built some big levels with hidden paths for you to play around in. There's some obvious hand holding like placing you right in front of a vent but there's a lot you can just figure out on your own. MD does that more often and it plays like an actual 1st person shooter, and mostly all the new augs arent fun or really useful. It gives you offensive augs that could be OP if you ised them right but then they only give you 1 boss fight in the whole game to use them on.

Kind of the same thing with those 2, money and time. They cut stuff from HR and apparently they cut a lot of stuff from MD. The endgame of MD feels like it should be the start of the 2nd half of the game. They don't feel like Deus Ex really at all.
