A friend owned this game and i borrowed it a few times back in the day.
I just dont remember if i beat it. Back then i thought the game was cool and odd as fuck, with a catchy ost and fun 3d sections for a Mega Drive game

You're joking but I find Overclocked: A History of Violence by the same studio to look quite interesting. And it was released in 2007 in Germany so it fits /vr/.

Weirdly the SNES version has some crazy plot about beating some other hacker after Jobe's defeated, and driving levels. I've meant to play more of it but it's quite a bit harder than the Genesis port.

Finally saw the movie about 2 years ago, which only made the game even more baffling. The dude set on fire at the petrol station being a boss is lols, and cyberspace Megaman Battle Networking you about the place through bank terminals, too. Given the game gives you a bigass VR rifle to polygon VSI...soldiers to death it's a loose adaptation to say the least.

Clever usage of HDMA and palette swapping on both systems. On SNES the color usage allows for more soft fading from the far away parts, which on Genesis is a bit rough (the far plane starting black), while the latter one is a bit faster.

I agree. Mid 2000s games achieved graphical perfection. I wish games never "advanced" beyond that.

That was the most infuriating video I have ever seen. Should have hit her as hard as he could with a closed fist for maximum damage, knowing he would get dogpiled by a bunch of retarded jeets while she walks away like she didn't do anything.

Eselred was named after an actual ruler, king Aethelred.

Aethelred was forced upon the throne as a child, and had a generally bad time, getting cast out by the danes and whatnot. Despite this, no glaring humiliation or loss was noted.

More than a century after his death, people began calling him "the unread(y)" since it was a pun with his name. Imagine being called "Wellread the Unread".

Pluvius is also a sick ass motherfucker. Check his portrait.

All of the Game Boy Batman titles are often overshadowed by their "superior" console versions... but in my eyes they're just as good, if not better, than the console ones. Return of the Joker especially, it's difficult and often frustrating, but it's amazing.

The controls are pretty awkward by today's standards, but it has a really interesting premise, lots of options for how to complete missions with out of the way side objectives, and some so bad they are good- FMV cutscenes.
