Heretic 2 is very different. More like a fantasy adventure and not really a shooter, also has some cool shit with the staff and the tome isn't a disposable item anymore. If you ever played Heretical Doom, some of the ideas were inspired by it.
Hexen 2 feels more like a quake engine fantasy shooter. Has plenty of both stupid and great stuff like the first one. Classes are similarly unbalanced. Should replay them again, thanks anon.
