One of those games I'm told is great but it actually sucks.

GC has a really weak library already. RE4 saves it. Otherwise it's worse than the N64 which is already dire.

More like you didn't. I'll explain. The Gamecube was like having a PC even if you didn't own one. Without a PC, how else could perfectly emulate the three Star Wars arcade games featured as unlockables in Rebel Strike (Rogue Squadron III)? Where else could the Midway and Namco collections play perfect arcade games on your home game console?
