Is this even a controversial take anymore? The SNES really fell off, it seems as though most people finally realised that there's less than a dozen SNES games that are actually worth playing. I see far more people talking about a far wider range of Mega Drive titles these days, than I ever saw on SNES.

SNES kids were getting into great immersive adventures with DKC1, SMW, Super Metroid, Zelda ALttP etc, games that are not based entirely on reflexes and/or memorization like those arcade games from the Genesis

After typing this I just realized why Genesis players are so annoying, they're the light version of shmupfags and beatemupfags

For me, what really encapsulated the difference between the SNES and Mega Drive is by playing the Ghouls 'n Ghosts ports of each console. When you experience the juxtaposition yourself, you'll get a real sense of what I mean.

i have a soft spot for final fantasy 4, but i wasnt that into ffvi so much. i like psiv way more that ffvi, but i dont think they should be compared, i feel like psiv and chrono trigger are more compareable , and i prefer psiv in that aspect aswell.
