Reminder that the type of image people associate with composite is a mix of the cable + the NTSC standard. Composite on PAL systems looked clearer and more similar to S-Video.

Begs reminding, since people here just want to fuck that yellow cable for some reason.

Top because some games relied on the genesis' shitty composite circuits.

Genny NBA Jam didn't rely on fake transparencies from shitty signals. Remember, it's a port of an arcade game. Devs intended you to play it SHARP.
>But the Japanese dev of Maiden Dungeon Gaiden intended for you to use RF! that means every game needs to be on RF!

>all this composite coping because they cant find a tv with something better or mod their televisions to output a superior signal
>now that the market is drying up even RF coping is becoming a thing

it all depends on what came with the console, barely anyone was going out of their way to buy better cables much less a newer tv with more video inputs just for vidya.
I played SNES on RF and PS1/2 on composite, the main benefit wasn't sharper pixels or colors it was not having to wiggle the damn RF box to make white dot crawl go away
