The OP is actually a fairly good looking example. The display always had a poor clear->black->clear response time, it's why all the reviews of games make a point of describing the blur factor and why certain awesome games were reviewed poorly due to too much detail in the scrolling backgrounds making it hard to follow.
The green tint is a bit strong, but that's likely more a result of modern LED lighting and a camera phone than an actual problem with the device. We used incandescent bulbs and the MFing sun which mitigates that somewhat. Modern lighting fires heavily green light at a yellow emitting phosphor to approximate quality lighting, and so something with a green bent like the GB will look really green. But go outside and it'll be less apparent.
