Lrn2stack. Then lrn2tspin. You dont need to learn t spin but from what i understand it helps with score and competitive play. I personally never learned t spin myself. But I've pulled it off accidentally a few times and it's satisfying.
Practice, but seriously I doubt /vr/ is the best place to get answers. Unironically r/Tetris on reddit will lead you to better resources, guides and discords. https://www.reddit.com/r/Tetris/comments/jva2j2/how_does_one_get_better_at_tetris/
Just search for discussions like that and find other communities that actually play the game seriously. They'll know best.

When I say learn to stack it mean learn how each piece functions so you can quickly build a huge solid wall of brick so all you have to do is wait for a long piece to get tetras over and over again. This is ideal playstyle. From here, you learn stuff like t spin. But that's really all there is to it.
>see streamer playing tetr.io at high level >he says that for a normal person it may looks insane, but it's no black magic, it just clicks once you play enough >decide I want to get good at Tetris too >spend a couple of days learning how to handle the basics at low speed >download Tetris Effect to play single player without any pressure >realize I'm really really bad at quick thinking >I'm getting stressed at a game supposed to let you relax
Is it over?

Youre getting stressed because you're too worried about messing up. Learn to enjoy it. Stop taking it so serious and you'll probably save yourself a lot of worry from stress.

Hey, he wants to know how to get good, not how to fit in on 4chan. Take information wherever you can find it. Refusing to look at something because it's on reddit makes you weak.

Just saying, you're not going to get the best discussion on this topic if you limit yourself to /vr/. OP's question has a better chance of being answered elsewhere.

A couples of days is not enough, realistically. While Tetris is much more simpler than Puzzle League and Puyo Puyo, a couple of days just plain won't do it

Practice, build wells you can manage, don't get greedy, don't make weenies, prioritize clearing lines over going for epic tetris clears as the speed becomes difficult to manage if it's not pretty, destroying a weenie is better than having it kill you.
I can do double T-Spins without doubting my plays, but still can't do triple aside DT-Cannons (and still I fuck those up sometimes to the point of being instakilled)
