That was my progression. I wanted a SNES, but I liked the Sega Genesis that I got for a birthday gift. And I bought my PlayStation with my own money. I think it was a 5501.

The correct PS2 model will play PSX games as well but there's no good Genesis and NES emulators on PS2 to justify your ragebait.

This was literally my exact progression and I loved it. I also love the Master System, SNES, Saturn and Nintendo 64 as an adult, but growing up with these, I think I had the best time.
