Will this be the first time they've used the Game Boy Player on the show? I know they've used the Super Game Boy plenty before, but I don't recall seeing the GBP.

You can Crtl+F Game Boy Player on the episode list in the OP.
They did the GBA compilation version of Mother 2, that GBC Yoiko game, the GBA WarioWare game, Survival Kids, Densetsu no Starfy, and now Samurai Kid on TV challenges, plus GBA Phoenix Wright for a DVD challenge in 2020.
1. Crash Bandicoot
2. Castlevania 2: Simons' Quest
3. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
4. Silent Hill
5. Metal Gear Solid 2: The sons of liberty
6. Donkey Kong Country 3
7. Little Nemo
8. Parasite Eve
9. Panzer Dragoon
10. Battle of Olympus
My never-ever wish is that he'd play a Tony Hawk game, especially 2, but besides the obvious of the japs having zero interest in that type of game, Fuji would probably have to secure the rights to broadcast... >The music >The skaters >The in-game advertisements (skate company logos and such) >The skateboard deck art >The skating footage
Maybe they could get away with the GBA version of 2, since it has a lot less of that sort of thing to worry about.
Still psyched they subbed some more Season 21. Any guesses as to what they will sub next? >355 - Super Buster Bros(that and Wit's are the only two episodes of Season 26 they haven't subbed yet) >a more recent episode of a popular game, like Super Castlevania 4 or Super Punch-Out!! >another older episode that hasn't been subbed yet, like Mad City
>remember about 10 years ago now discovering GCCX through 4chan >eventually finding the GamingCX website >spend months watching every subbed vid, something like 12-13 seasons were uploaded at this point >absolutely enthralled by the fun and charm of the show
I need to get back into it, lads, even if it's to marathon the whole thing again. I miss it.
One of my favorite arcades was the Kachou at an Onsen, and playing a few of the little 10 yen games like THE UNIVERSE, and bullshitting with the old man.

Japan has been pushing a skateboarding game show "KASSO" and it's been doing pretty well, it's gotten popular enough to host international tryouts. THPS on GCCX is not entirely out of the question

They did Downtown Nekketsu Kōshinkyoku: Soreyuke Daiundōkai last season and Mario Kart 64 the season before, and DDR Mario Mix the season before that.
So it'll probably be a different sports game.
In Japanese, "game center" is written as ゲームセンター (gēmu sentā). It refers to an arcade or a place where people can play video games, often featuring various arcade machines, claw machines, and sometimes even ticket redemption games.

Any guesses for the next subbed episode? >#356 - Wits(last episode from S26 that hasn't been subbed yet) >Halloween-themed episode like Splatterhouse 2 >some recent episode >some older episode
>>12023254 >>12023257
at its core it's still a guy playing a game and giving his commentary over it. again, you make an exception for him because >japan :OOO
just own up to it you dumb weebs
>>12025553 >this professional comedian's TV show is JUST LIKE my youtube/twitch e-celebs because they both play videogames and talk about the games!
The difference between Arino and your e-celebs is Arino isn't getting paid because you watch GCCX, he gets paid from the production company that is getting paid by the TV channel in Japan that airs GCCX and their sponsors. Unless you live in Japan and watch the show live, or directly buy merch, he isn't profiting from you. E-celebs get paid more the more viewers they have watching ads on their videos/streams. Due to the ad profits, talking about e-celebs is effectively advertising for them. Talking about GCCX makes about as much profit for GCCX as talking about the 90's Super Mario Bros movie makes for Nintendo. That's why GCCX threads are allowed on /vr/ and /v/, and e-celebs are not.
>>12026218 >this kind of advertising is allowed but THIS one isn't because...because it just isnt okay!!!
more contrived hypocritical weeb faggot logic. again, i wouldn't have a problem with this but you fucking faggots are always disingenuous with your arguments

The actual difference is that he was doing all of this 4 years before the first video let's play was even uploaded and that show played a huge part in keeping interest in retro games alive.
This is something you could've looked up yourself if you weren't a fucking idiot, but let me know if you need me to baby bird anymore extremely simple pieces of information to you.
