I like it, but several games feel like they're more like proof of concepts, or that they're being too limited by the retro gimmick. Like Pilot Quest feels like they had a cool idea and made a short shovelware based on it. Or the metroid clone not being as good as it could be because of the 2 button gimmick not allowing it to have a map button.
