Condemned is perfect for weed plus any opioid.

Half-Life 2 was built to be experienced on ketamine or DXM, especially with the gravity gun.

Halo is great on dissociatives too and on psychedelics.

System Shock 2 is excellent on either amphetamines or benzos.

Doom 3 is made for heavy drinking. You're missing out so much if you never played it piss drunk.

A few years ago I was in a deep depression and hurt my back at the same time. A doctor prescribed oxycodone and I decided to play Ocarina of Time for a few weeks. Playing that game while high on opiates was one of the most emotionally therapeutic things I've ever experienced.

I hate playing vidya while drunk. Except for Rocket League, and that’s only because I blast music while playing it.

I love stimulants, though. I love playing vidya while rolling on amphetamines. Cocaine is also great for gaming (but only when I take small bumps and have some strong beer to wash it down with). Adderall is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

It's very addictive. I went from taking the prescribed dose to about 5x as much within the span of a few weeks. I was calling up the doctor for refills far before the scheduled time telling him my back pain was worse and all that. It went on for about 6 months. Thankfully I had the good sense to recognize it was becoming a major problem and I summed up the courage to tell him "my back is all better now, thanks..." (even though it wasn't completely) and got myself off it. It came into my life at the perfect time, healed some major emotional baggage and then let me go exactly when it needed to. I know that's not the experience 99% of people have but it turned out alright for me. I can't say the same for alcohol or other things, I've been drinking heavily since I was 15 and was addicted to speed at one point, but the opiates let me go softly at least.

i did dmt and had the worst panic attack ever. like primal fear and needing to take off running type shit but not being able to. had to call a friend to come get me. i didnt even have a full trip just like a couple seconds. i guess im too sensitive for drugs :(
