Snes rpg is actually pretty mediocre carried by the weird and goofy enemies. It’s toddler easy, which most Mario rpgs are but they have more interactivity in battles

I dunno if I'd call the GC a zoomer console considering the absolute oldest zoomers were born in 1997 (with the middle of the zoomer generation being born in 2004-2005). Maybe more of a Zillenial console
The Wii is way more of a zoomer console

yup. and the hub town dialog recycles way too much inbetween chapters, most characters say the same thing except they substitute a word for a synonym, as if that's clever or funny at all

I remember playing supershit saga and being annoyed at having to constantly switch bros with the top buttons, the game felt like a slog
>>12013641 >be 1997fag >owned a N64/GCN/Saturn >played mostly 4th gen oldies on my pc anyways >feel awfully detached from most Gen Z, but don't fit with hardcore millennials anyways
I wish i experienced the 90s more desu

Yeah, those are the posters making all the "why did [false premise and/or something that could be answered in 5 seconds google search]" as well as the "The NES doesn't HOLD UP today!" and the "I played [best selling critically acclaimed game] for 3 minutes and 23 seconds, IT SUCKS!" threads that make up 75% of /vr/ these days
We'll see if we actually get a new janitor who gives a shit but I don't have my hopes up

Yeah so? Its a great starting place, it was released in the 90s, it was fine for the time.
It was released closer to the original Mario Bros than our time now, so the idea of Mario rescuing Peach wasnt played out. Its a very charming game, go back and play it

You played a mario game, with classic mario elements. Mario travels to a desert, a lava world, a snow world etc and rescues the princess from big, bad bowser
What did you expect? If you dont like these tropes, you probably shouldn't play any mario games

PM1 fleshed out the usual "Mario rescues the princess" plot with golden-era disney-esque whimsy.
Trekking across the desert, finding out who Moustafa is, and uncovering the secret of the desert ruins was absolute ludo.
I hated PM, but loved TTYD. I didn't like how PM felt like AU SMRPG. Magazines promised me a sequel, and I didn't get it.
Superstar Saga is better thab it had any right to be. Shame the series went downhill from there.

Do you even have memories of the 90s? I was born in late 1999 and my absolute earliest memories are from 2003, and even then they’re very hazy.
