Shinnok looked a lot better when he was a rip off of The Emperor than he did in Mortal Kombat 4. They should have just gave him a bunch of magic moves and didn't bother trying to make him seem like a fighter at all

Mk4 shinnok is great due to the meme tier ending with him (especially reptile) but his best version was the MKX pharaoh/lucifer desing he was given, he was a highlight in a shitty story.

I feel like he's based on the emperor. Shao Kahn was based on that idea, where the first bad guy is revealed to be working for a bigger bad guy, by Shinnok initially seemed to really drive the concept home visually
