Am I the only one who thinks the snes gen is overrated as fuck? Like the nes, ps1 and ps2 gens had way more classics.

You ever think console preferences are more of a genre preference? Genesis seems to have the most action-oriented library, which is why I gravitate towards its games than the SNES. (Not sure about PC Engine, but I hear it has lots of good shmups.)

I would add NES to complete the holy trinity, but yeah, SNES and Genesis are the pillars of retro games.

i greatly prefer the snes but i got a genesis rather late (93 or 94) and admittedly havent played many of the titles people prefer on it. i got one specifically to play mortal kombat with blood (fucking hilarious to think of now, that i was so concerned with that). my brother ended up getting a sega cd for it too. never bothered with the 32x but i did get suckered in by the sega activator.
