It's perfect, except for maybe the campaign's millennial writing. Redditors hate it because they once overheard oldfags recollect bad experiences with the beta and it only having quick play on launch, distorting it through years into "it was a console game". They also killed it, seething all over the internet about how all UT were becoming abandonware (free to redistribute), but UT3 was getting a free no-CD rerelease on all on digital stores, because it *needed* one to remain playable. Now you can't buy it and can't generate new keys for multiplayer.

The yearly releases were a great idea. Instead, Epic decided they wanted to compete with Valve and the Orange Box. It ended up being too little, too late.

Q3 had a aesthetic. UT had whatever texture pack CD they had at hand at the time of making a map.
