We had a Xbox demo kiosk and it had a demo for Fight Club on it that ran for awhile (or was one of several demos i can’t remember exactly) but I always loved hearing β€œFIGHT…. FIGHT…. Shame the game apparently turned out awful. Reviews were so bad and I had so much to play I never got around to it, to make any judgement myself. Anyone know if it’s as bad as the reviews say?

Industrial never got the mainstream attention Rock, Rap, and Techno got. Most mainstream it got was when Nine Inch Nails was big, but bands like KMFDM were treated like one-hit wonders. Juke Joint Jezebel was a banger sure, but I would have loved to hear Anarchy, Ave Maria, Looking for Strange, Light, or Ultra on the radio for a change.

Definitely.

VtMB had some industrial music in the clubs. American McGee's Alice had the OST done by Chris Vrenna even though it was softer than what most industrial music sounds like. People love these soundtracks but even their sequels scaled back on it for whatever reason and got softer/more ambient.

Not 6th gen but the original Silent Hill's OST was heavily inspired by Nine Inch Nails.

im not gonna say i went through that note for note, but i remember liking it a lot until like 07, getting bored of it, and getting back into it around 2014-2015, got bored of it again, and got back into it around 2022 until now.

what i will say is i think your music you listen to is partially influenced by your life and your life influences some of your music you feel like listening to. when i go through periods of being more active, athletic, outgoing, goal orientated, positive, i listen to this stuff more. if more people worked out on a regular basis or engaged in some sort of physical activity i think they would be more attracted to this stuff. i think some of our music tastes are hormone related, probably like 25% or 33% of what dictates what we listen too. just my armchair theory.

if we get rich we can hire some contractors to make a 1:1 scale quake 3 arena map for us. we can also commission some cosplay guy to make a bunch of DOOM guy armors that we can color to our liking and we can use that stuff to play airsoft or paintball or something. then we can set up cameras in different areas of the play zone and stream that online for people to watch us get sick montage footage.

i dont think we can use jump pads but we can probably split the difference and put some trampolines on one map to approximate the jump pad. if you break your leg it isnt our fault because you signed the waiver.

did techno ever get maistream play? i dont remember it happening but i do remember in the early 2000s there being some channel that played techno or eletcronic music on it because i found it while sitting in the car flipping through channels waiting for my dad to come back from the store. i dont recall seeing much techno music videos but i may not have been paying attention because iw as so young.

IDK if this counts as industrial maybe more like rock with some industrial influence, but some guy in a thread a while back showed me this music video and i thought it was cool. this is just revisionism i remember when i was super young in the mid or late 90s my friend with the cool parents that had parties all the time played limp bizkit in the car. that album was everywhere.

what is it with metal fans being so consistently autistic? all the guys i knew in HS and college had an autism powerlevel that was exponentially proportional to how much they knew about the genre and how opinionated they were about the best metal bands. i remember being polite to one of them and asked him to write down some bands he likes because he was criticizing my music and he off the top of his head wrote down like 200 fucking bands somehow. metal is cool but so is nu metal and other genres like hardcore or post hardcore even emo from time to time. as long as you have a guitar in it you already are on the right track.

Not really. Most nu-metal bands have some amount of hip hop influence, but Limp Bizkit leans into it so heavily that they cross over into outright rap metal territory. Rapping is a vocal style, and most nu-metal singers don't use it as their main vocal style.

When I've tried to find new metal stuff to listen to it was boring as fuck because they were all just constantly growling/screaming for vocals. I'm not sure when that seemed to become so predominant. I don't hate growling/screaming either but when that's all there is it becomes very one note.

Nu metal isn't solely Fred Durst nor is Limp Bizkit. LB's guitarist Wes Borland is extremely talented musician and artist, check out his side projects Black Light Burns and Big Dumb Face. Other guys in the band are also really good at what they are doing. Yeah, Durst is shit vocalist and lyricist but he's a good producer and businessman β€” that's why LB even get popular.
You can say it's cringeworthy because of Fred but at least there is some level of good musicianship behind it.

>Ridge Racer type 4 exists
Am I joke to you?

Sure it's not Coltrane Jazz but modern jazz is actually jungle music, not necessarily using hte Ahmen break but if you listen to modern jazz not classical, smooth or improv jazz then there is a massive amount of soundtracks to listen to.

Modern Jungle is modern jazz as it's freeflow and you can do what you like,

For example of some modern Jungle Jazz

Experimental, deeply moving, poetic like listening to beatniks in a smokey bar drinking all night to smooth notes

It's not jazz. It's more of a house-funk fusion, it has some jazzy vibes here and there but it's not jazz really.

brother, that's retarded.

I think there are 24 Dreamcast's sight by the entire band of Limp Bizkit, and 6 additional Dreamcsts signed by Fred Durst. There are also a few Dreamcsts that were signed by Ozzy Osbourne, which was signed at Ozzfest as part of the Sega Assault Tour.
