The twist recontextualizes the game and more or less re-writes Tifa. Tifa as she's originally written is akin to Barret, and wants revenge on Sephiroth and Shinra for the events of her past, starts a bar and is an active member of a resistance group. Afterwards? She's a mom-like figure to Cloud and a total simp who's entire life just revolves around taking care of Cloud.

Tifa is "perfect" in the eyes of males, because she's a sexualized mom-figure for sad lonely boys. That's it. The male ideal for sad lonely boys is a female who has no agency and just acts like a stand-in mom figure they can cuddle and kiss and have sex with.

And reverse: Cloud is the ideal sad-boy stand in. Yes, he's a quiet awkward sad boy, BUT he's also the world's most heroic and strongest male whom every woman lusts for.
