I generally enjoyed the remake but the voice acting was consistently the worst part for me. I wish they didn't bother, but I know there was no way they were going to use Spyro's original 1 voice. I almost would have been best if they just had Tom Kenny redo the lines in Spyro 1 and nothing else but I bet there was some contract bullshit they had to deal with that forced them to redo the whole thing.

I think the only voice acting I liked in the remakes was Ripto and Moneybags, they're pretty much the only characters in the entire trilogy that felt like they were voiced by people who knew what the characters should sound like.

I liked the skateboarding when I was a kid, it’s not hard to get skill points. One of my worst gaming memories came from this game. I got 149 eggs and for some reason the game wouldn’t give me the 150th in the last flying stage. I couldn’t figure that shit out so I started all over. I found out later it was probably triggered by some copy protection, but I have no idea what it was. I eventually beat the game again but damn that was annoying.

That's actually a bug with the 1.0 version of the game, it's possible to make one of the speedway eggs unobtainable. Basically if you attempt a race, lose or quit, and shut the game off, the game gets stuck thinking you already have the egg even though you never won it.

Valid arguments can be made for either 1 or 2 being the best, but in any case 3 is just a shittier version of 2. Worse level design, more bullshit minigames, less time spent as Spyro (the actually fun character). Bianca is way cuter than Elora and a much better character, I will concede that.

I genuinely enjoy a lot of what Reignited did but this is a bald-faced lie. Half of the VAs sound like the voice caster just pulled aside some random coders who had some free time. The dragon actors in 1 are nowhere near the level of Clancy Brown and Carlos Alazraqui in the original, good professional cartoon VAs. Elora sounds like a 13 year old instead of a cool older teenager, Hunter no longer has his hilarious condescending surfer bro voice, and Tom Kenny's modern Spyro voice is even more of an inoffensive milksop than he was in the originals, no spunk or sass whatsoever.
