I actually like the bottom better. No I'm not a zoomer. I don't like the character sprites on the bottom but everything else seems better. Maybe it's the color? In the top picture the shadow against the side of the house is so dark you can barely see anything but the bottom looks nice. If I had to choose I would choose the bottom. Am I a faggot?

Ive been playing rhe One Vision mod and having more fun with a video game than Ive had in years. Actual wake up, play vidya all day, go to bed, repeat kind of days. Ive found these necromancers in the woods dungeon thst drop special daggers thst let you swap bodies with an enemy while keeping your Intelligence and Mind stats. So I spent all of yesterday capturing faeries and ghosts with high base mental stats and bodysnatching enemies with great physical stats to make great hybrid units. Currently training up my newly created warlock, terror knight, and ninja I got this way. I made a dragoon too but he's pretty underwhelming so far.

No, it's a mod for the PSP version called One Vision that's been in development for ages. It totally revamps the whole game and its incredible. There's so much changed its difficult to even describe what exactly the mod does. The best word I would use to describe it is "comeplete". Everything just feels so good. There hasn't been a single thing I've tried using that has felt bad. It feels like everything is viable, thought out, and effective. Ninjas might be the exception though. Running around spitting silence blowdarts or immobilizing bolas. Handing out stuns, binds, and stops like candy before throwing free sleep grenades is nuts.

I just beat this bastard of a battle that was the first serious challenge Ive faced. Normally assassination battles are super easy, but the choke point on this map combined with the two golems using upgraded rampart aura to keep me from getting by them was brutal. Pulled out all the stops on mobility, equipping water wading and jumping skills, levitation items, and just shoved all my units to one side until the golems finally screwed up their positioning and the target wandered into range of my fighters.

On Reborn? Unfortunately no. Another reason to play the One Vision mod instead.

The biggest difference compared to Reborn you'll immediately notice is in One Vision instead of individual units leveling up, classes level up instead. So you can pick up a new unit and immediately start using them in a class you've already leveled up. The main difference between individual units is their base stats, which are modified by whatever class they are assigned at the time. That and their skills, which are still unique to each unit. Another of my favorite changes is the weapon variety. In the unmodified version of the game you can find unique weapon variants that change up how that weapon class usually works like inflicting a unique debuff or having bonuses to different stats than that weapon class usually buffs. But those weapons are unique, and you will eventually outlevel them and be forced to use generic weapons again. One Vision changes that by adding more weapons of that type at higher levels. So if you think the dagger that silences people or the huge sword that gives a penalty to accuracy instead of a bonus in exchange for hitting harder is really cool, you can find higher level versions of them later on. Really opens up a lot more ways to play.

It uses smoothed out images for cutscene backgrounds and I didnt like that. That's the only reason. Not sure if it does that for battlefields too.

If you mean installing the mod, the easiest way to immediately tell is Lanselot will have golden armor in the opening mission. You can go back and check by using the warren report if you're already past it.

I loved it too, was my first tactics game and I was obsessed with it for years. Looking back at the graphics now though I am surprised at the way it looks. Not sure I'd be able to stomach replaying it. FFTA2 still really holds up though. I don't get why so many people hated the law mechanics. I think I might be spoiled by Tactics Ogre's UI and ability to zoom out or go to grid-view.
