Have you ever bought retro game themed apparel?

Anonymous No.12108376 [Report]
I never buy retro game themed apparal/toys/etc, only buy retro games that I want to play. I have been gifted such items, but I don't wear them outside or display them like it's a trophy case.

The turdworldification started with people dressing like favela monkeys, stupid ads on a shirt, shorts and so on. Do the world a favor. Dress like a human

Nah, i rather dress comfortably when im forced to leave my den, where in im otherwise always naked.

The stuff in OP's pic is cringe because it's fondling nostalgia balls too directly. Something like pic related isn't as bad, it's stylized and isn't as distracting for an article of clothing.

gaming shirts only work if it's tasteful and not blatant (like using pixel text)
even then though, gamer shirts are only cringe if you're fat/ugly, they're quirky if you're /fit/
Anonymous No.12109125 [Report]
I wore my duke 3d tshirt until it fell apart. And I have an unworn heroes of might and magic tshirt in the collectors box still.

I don't think I've ever worn a game-based shirt. It always seemed kinda dorky to me
Anonymous No.12109254 [Report]
i only have one piece of video game clothing and it's a dark souls shirt that i've only worn twice because the 2nd time i did at a bar, this turbosperg saw it and wouldn't shut up to me about the game.

Nope. The only retro related merch I've owned is a coffee mug I got during Christmas. It was a coffee mug with a NES controller. I have a canvass illustration of Majoras Mask but it sits in my closet. I just think the colors are too bright. It was one of those impulse buys finding it on discount.

Yes because I don't give a shit if people think it's cringe. I'll wear Atari shirts, Cheech and Chong shirts, Seinfeld shirts, etc. why should I give a shit when other people either don't know, don't care, or have shit tastes themselves?
Anonymous No.12109416 [Report]
I have a few retro anime shirts from Uniqlo, shit like GitS and Gundam, but retro games is a whole different animal.

I have a few non /vr/ game clothing items, like a replica of the jacket from Hotline Miami, a Samurai shirt from Cyberpunk 2077 both from InsertCoin and I get compliments on the jacket often. So maybe they're your best bet?

I would wear a shirt that just had this, in a small box, over the breast. Not drawing attention to itself. I dislike the OP shirt because it just gets glurgy with it, like settle down dude.

To me, the simple yet hard rule for pop culture shirts is just don't say what the fucking this is, on the thing. If your shirt says DONKEY KONG(R) BY NINTENDO(TM) fuck off. It's only appealing when it's just an "iykyk" thing and not a walking advertisement. The more esoteric, the better, generally.

I'm interested in anime and retro gaming apparel that would be unsuspecting to normal people but I could have a fun conversation with someone who understood the reference.

I had an old Atari logo shirt for like a minute. Bought it for like a buck because I needed a shirt.
Which was just incidental, because the good 2600 games all came out after WB turned Atari to shit anyway.

I'd probably wear this if it was on a shirt, with that thinking in mind.
