Common knowledge, but
>Donkey Kong was originally supposed to be a Popeye game. Nintendo would later make an actual Popeye arcade game.
>Alex Kidd in Miracle World was originally a Dragon Ball game. Also a SMB2 situation happened with Alex Kidd in Hi-Tech World, which was originally a licensed game based on Anmitsu-Hime in Japan.
>While the game was ultimately cancelled, Sunsoft considered flipping their NES Superman game into a game called "Sunman", mostly tweaking the sprites.
>Star Gladiator was supposedly meant to be a Star Wars fighting game, but LucasArts decided to go with Masters of Teras Kasai
>South Park was intended to have a GBC game to go with the console versions, but Trey and Matt decided against it. It apparently became a Maya The Bee game.

Momoko 120% was originally an Urusei Yatsura game. They lost the license but the music is still the UY theme song.

It finally got turned into an UY game on Famicom.

I got this with NES. Always died to the fire boss who zoomed from one side of the screen to other. It was cool and gritty and werewolf being able to hang on ceiling with its blades was cool

I've heard varied accounts on this but Darkstalkers was originally intended to be a licensed Universal Studios Monsters game. You can see it in the earlier designs with some of the characters which were closer to the movies.

Beyond the Ice Palace was going to be a Thundercats game and even still has some names from the franchise in the files.
Anonymous No.12140268 [Report]
The only one I know is journey to sillyus was suppose to be terminator. And from my understanding they just changed the cut scenes between levels with the terminator theme song fully intact in the intro.

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't the somewhat random graveyard sections in Turok 2 originally meant to be Shadow Man crossover sections?

Man the Nerd's forced negativity is having a toxic effect on my.
It's one thing to hate on a shitty game for being actually bad but every complain he had with the game in his video was outright ignorance and skill issue.

Doesn't make for a fun video.

In the earliest stages of pitching it to Konami, Silent Hill was going to be an adaptation of Stephen King's The Mist.

Close, the game was initially pitched as a universal studios monster game, but they decided to just use their own monsters long before production started and they never actually attempted to acquire the licence.
