Visual inaccuracies and input lag. ps2 emulation is nowhere near the level of Wii and GameCube.

Show me your Gitaro Man playthrough. Play an actual game that requires precise timing and post back.

PCSX2 does have worse than typical input lag, still not noticeable in a lot of games.

cant link ur psp and ps2 but i think most games that have content behind that have cheats to unlock it

NTA, I beat Gitaroo Man for the first time like a year ago on PCSX2. It was fairly hard, felt like the analog curves had no margin for error which made the game feel more frustrating than hard. I have a lot of rhythm game experience though so there's that.

PCSX2 is still riddled with compatibility issues and likely always will be. If you just want to play the most mainstream shit like Final Fantasy X and GTA San Andreas then it's fine, but once you start getting into more obscure titles things start to fall apart.

Play a game you're really familiar with on an Android with a Bluetooth controller.
Even a fool like you will feel it then.

I know how to set my shit up so I don't experience disadvantages and I don't have to give my damn money to fucking scalpers and rejects who have ruined the /vr/ community by bringing normies and social media cancerous clout chasers into the mix. Besides I also use FMCB when I have my PS2 plugged up or CFW options on other consoles when I have that option.

One example is SOCOM Combined Assault and SOCOM Fire Team Bravo 2. Completing optional objectives in one game would unlock extra optional objectives or make things easier in the other game, the idea being that the two teams would operate in the same areas but not directly work with each other.

Is there even a good PS2 emulator? PCSX2 is nothing but a headache
Anonymous No.12140067 [Report]
>graphical glitches
>framerate not consistant
>sound crackling
>no crt filter (yes every single one out is garbage)

It breeds bad habits like fast forwarding or save states which makes it so you feel like you are just playing another modern game (In this case current game designs around auto saves constantly) and not getting an actual retro experience.

It's 100% true and you'd know if you played on both back to back

>disadvantages
You don't get to relive the real experience: CRT TV, original controller, physical collection of games, original hardware graphics and vibes.
Just plug and play.

>advantages
You can experience your favorite games in a remastered manner with: HD Texture Packs, Internal Resolution Scaling, better framerate, faster or no loading times...
Infinitely more convenient than the real thing, but requires some knowledge.

It's up to you

Vanilla games look bad when not on a CRT.

No pressure sensitive buttons. Important for certain games.

People will defend the way they play proportionally to the money they spent on it. That is the disadvantage.

PS2 is LITERALLY the cheapest retro console you can buy. Theres absolutely no other system below it in price. And nowadays you dont even have to burn DVDs, or use the terrible USB load games, you can get a MX4SIO and play them.

Get an MMCE card, don't be a retard buying MX4SIO for no reason
