There's a few games I tried that have issues, but many lesser known ones like Dementium 2 which just display a white screen. I can see some people being disappointed by its limited upscaling support since it only seems to be up to 2X for 3D games, but this is only a real dealbreaker if you're playing on a tablet or a PC. If you're playing on a handheld like the Thor then it's not really a big deal since most DS games are 2D, and the screen sizes are only like 6" and 3.92", you'll be saving on battery life at least and you'll hit the wall of diminishing returns fast. The g8 galileo and the wired m30(with an OTG adapter) is all you need if you actually play games and you don't want to mindlessly consoome the next chinkheld like a woman. I have 36 mastered games on trannyachievements with both of them. The m30 is great for metroidvania and any other 2d platformer. G8 if you're playing 3d. I've mastered Order of Ecclesia a few days ago and I'm currently playing Dead Cells.

Hey guys, I'm looking to get a handheld that emulates older games well through GBA at least, has good feeling buttons, a nice screen, and solid feeling build quality. Additionally, I like the horizontal layout, versus the vertical gameboy layout. I'm considering the Anbernic RG552 for the screen, but also looking at 505, 405M and 351P.

Well, that might (?) not mean anything, then. Last time I checked, which was a while ago, only Drastic could run anything on my phone at playable framerates even though PS2 and GameCube work fine. I would get like 15fps on Castlevania no matter the settings. Drastic worked fine, though. So my guess is that DS games will run fine on Drastic on this thing, but 3DS might not (the same device had FPS drops on 3DS when any upscaling was used).

Set up Azahar on my Thor, there's definitely input lag. Not as bad as I thought but incredibly noticeable playing 3DS games I've played for hundreds of hours before. Even on Fire Emblem Awakening, a turn based game. It's not the end of the world and I guess it's a trade off for how good everything looks (when there's not shader compilation stutters)

The PSP (2000 or 3000 only) is much more comfortable to use than any Vita. Unfortunately, the screen is dog shit by comparison with either massive black smearing (2000) or interlacing artifacts (3000). PSP stuff also looks like blurry shit on a stock Vita, so you need to hack it and use Adrenaline, which has built-in filter options that make it look decent (sharp bilinear being the best one).

NTA but I would personally suggest a Vita instead if you have the cash, even the 2000 models that only have an LCD panel compared to the original ones with OLED. This is just pure preference but I prefer the way the Vita 2000 model feels in the hand compared to some PSP models, I loved the PSP 1000 model but the stock screen has terrible ghosting issues and the 2000 model felt too small and uncomfortable in comparison. I also prefer the fact that the Vita has some analog sticks, even if they aren't the best they still feel like they offer a better range of movement than the analog sliders on the PSP.
The PSP is fine if you are on a tight budget and don't mind doing shell and possibly even screen swaps.
