I do understand what a series killer is, you goys are just not seeing what I'm putting down. I dunno what the fuck the CV or Megamane fags are on about but CV undoubtedly was what killed RE as we knew it. The name continued, but the games were only related in name. There was never a true sequel to the original trilogy, just a bunch of remakes and side games.
There's a reason people only talk about 1-3 or everything else in separate bubbles because they are essentially entirely different series of games and Code Veronica is the big bright start of the separate games.
I think of it how there's SMT and then you have Persona, technically they are the same series (they even have more in common than the different RE games) but they are treated as different and fans of one tend to hate the other.
RE is similar, obviously you have schizophrenic weirdos who like all of them and I don't know what to tell those people, I guess they just don't care or they are all crazy.
