I was literally like 10 and my friend was 14, none of us owned guns we just thought games were fun. Think what you mean is that in America everyone owned guns so it's hardly a distinction amongst lan party fps players
It was fun but it was also not fun.
I regret associating so long with communities were in-game performance was strongly associated with IRL respect among peers.

It's actually weird that the common stereotypes were about pc gamers but in reality the smelliest weird ones were console players. I guess because the barrier to entry for pc games was higher then.

Had a great time, usually won. System link contributed massively to Halo's success, without needing a network connection to play against a lot of people.

Source?
Any gathering of a lot of men enclosed on a space where they spend a lot of time is bound to smell bad. Moreso if they are video game nerds.
PC nerds not being smelly? Nice try at rewriting history, lard.
Back to your hats and ASSFAGGOTS.

i didn't know a single kid who didn't have at least SNES or Sega by 1995. Everyone had something by the turn of the millennium, when the year number was big and round :O
>>12159240 (OP)
not good. its basically a place for casuals and wannabes. the actual cool kids went to quake lan parties. I say it how it is because I was there at the time.

Why do zoomers lie so fucking much? I don't understand this bizarro idea of gaming they want to go back to. If you played games with anything more than the decided level of enthusiasm of the cool kids, you were considered a loser.
I didn't know people thought playing video games was loser activity until well into the 2000s. It had never been a thing in my life. Instead you were mocked for reading books or actually being smart or being smelly or dressing like a loser. I think there was a lot of false correlations going on in confused millennial's minds.
>halo lans
i found these fascinating because it always seemed like the types of people who would be into this would just do it on pc instead. i was the only person in my circle of friends who had an xbox. they were primarily ps2 and werent into shooters anyway.

What? Console bros were definitely a thing, were you even there?
That even carried on into the later console generations. There were many guys who would only touch a console.
>>12160348
Didn't do dat. :) >>12160394
I've been endlessly amused over the years that normal things are considered fantasy to you rejects. I've been on the internet longer and I've played more games than you, I just wasn't a loser with no friends. You guys are the invaders here.

Nice blog, just keep the thread bumped grampa. >you're wasting your life!
Imagine pulling this card when you're still here with a dead wife. Holy kek.
>>12160425
This is my thread. It's about me. :) >Imagine pulling this card
I didn't, I played a Reverse on it.
Try to keep up, kiddo, you've gone softbrained from lazy memetic immersion.

The only place that would have 50 year olds unironically would be SA. Even if nobody left 4chan and it's been the same posters since 2004, the oldest anons would be in their 40s.
>>12159537 >Source?
He doesn't have one. It's a zoomer trying to sow pointless division. The fact is that anyone that were into video games enough to go to gatherings more often than not had shit hygiene.
t. went to Quakecon in the early 2000s, the smell in the LAN rooms was nauseating
>>12160520
Buddy this isn't the 2000s anymore. We're past the "everyone here understands that nothing should be taken seriously" stage. In the last 10 years this place has become infested with miserable schizos that thrive on picking fights wherever they go because it's their only source of a dopamine hit.
>>12160639
You were so butthurt by >>12159517 bringing up the smelly stereotype that you immediately assumed he was talking about PC gamers and then started seething about consoles. I can only imagine how fucking fetid you smell. You probably make jeets smell like fragrant roses kek
>>12160576
Brother, I've been doing this since usenet. Nothing should be taken to heart precisely because some people take it seriously. It's just a website, it's just a diversion, nothing can affect your soul here.
