how do you get good at aki n64 / ps2 wrestling games? all these parries and shit just feel like scams and it doesn't even have a tutorial against ai, just fmvs
Maybe I'm retarded, but I've never played a (post NES Pro Wrestling) wrestling game where it feels like I'm really controlling my character. There's like a distance between what I'm trying to do with the controller and what is happening on screen. It's like I'm vaguely steering the action rather than actually controlling my character. Does that make any sense? Frustrating.
Going to sell my physical greatest hits copy with case and booklet and minor scratches and fully playable audio and all of Def jam fight for NY (ps2) on ebay a December.
I will try to sell it cheaper than others.
Reasons >chirstmas is a time for giving...well for a reasonable price >I didn't know that game had any value until I saw a video on YouTube >I don't value things >need some cash to fly to Miami >I have no friends to play the game with >I settled for the psp version
Def Jam FFNY doesn’t even have the guide videos like Vendetta, you’re just thrown into the game with no clue on how to do anything. The stripped down PSP version does have a tutorial though.

This is why I side with Firo Pro. The matches are fast and fluid. AKI games are slow as piss and there isn't any sensation of impact in any of the moves.

You mostly gotta get a feel for the timing on reversals. Keep practicing and eventually it'll click. Also wear opponents down with light hits and grapples before using heavier ones.

Yeah, im getting slightly better. Just beat the 3v1 handicap with Briggs last night, holy fuck that was bullshit lol. I have no idea how I 100% this game as a kid, I definitely did it on Easy because im playing on Medium now and its hard as hell.
