It's impossible to accurately tell what progress since the progess is listed by overall files instead of something more specific, like the Innocent Rules translation. But almost certainly a few months. Progress is currently listed at 263/373, but I imagine the worst files are probably backloaded. However the translation is actively moving. I surmise that throughout this entire intermission before the update, which I think has been a year, he has thoroughly completed everything regarding the base game. So right now, he's only left with the expansion. And he's fast. Still, it's pretty long, probably 3/4 of an actual game... good news is, all the itemization stuff won't (mostly) be an obstacle to overcome. Weapon descriptions, miscellaneous stuff. Likely all taken care of, with not many improvements on this into the DLC... that's a huge boon. More pleasing translating dialogue and story stuff itself, I think.

That said, if at initial pace, and if he's getting a summer break (still a student), maybe someday soon really (during summer itself). If he's a wagie like me, maybe October/November. Hopefully not lol. Well, I said it earlier, but he's fast.

Innocent Rules was completed after about 40 hours of playing, making it the longest game for me after Colony, with 35 hours. L.Depth the shortest. For older games, Liberty Step at 60 hours. Now, how long will Thirst be? Double the content, maybe 80 or so hours? Maybe even 100?
100 hours of SEQUEL packed into one game... That's longer than Blight, Awake, and Colony combined.

Any RPG Maker script wizards?
I (a random person, not the translator) tried messing with Innocent Rules' scripts to fix the bug that sometimes happens with the log- whenever you level up, the sound effect that's played gets stored into the log and plays every single time you interact with the log menu. I'm not 100% sure, but some events also do this when they get added to your event list, I think.

Anyways, updating the script that adds a level up sound effect to the one from Thirst breaks it, as well as names showing up in level up- but also causes the log to not spam noises after opening it after a level up, possibly because no sound effect plays at all.

Hoping for someone more knowledgeable to provide a solution given the knowledge shared.

Is there a particularly good spot to farm Clear Lumps in Innocent Rules?

Bros help me. I am playing blight and awake but I need some clarification on some things

First thing is: do most enemies have a tell when they are about to do a major attack? I have just now realized this happens since the combat text is so fast you can never read it but I've noticed it does happen. Some bosses have a one hit kill attack that doesn't get negated even by the sudden death protection amulets and I imagine you are supposed to guard against them when you see the warning? If so, is there anyway to get the text to move slower?

Second thing is about luck. I've read after colony it also affects crit damage% but on the games before, does it only affect crit rate and affliction chance rate?

Bosses act in patterns, they do a certain thing every turn until they've gone through their set cycle and then repeat it, so you can know by just memorizing the pattern or whatever attack they do before the one hit kill move. Luck only affects affliction rate in the games before colony, crit chance is a different, invisible stat.

It's pretty much just a dump stat in the early games yeah. It also affects chance to GET afflicted but if you're that worried about it you can always just equip immunity accessories.

Depends on the move. If the attack is one hit killing from sheer damage, yeah. If it's just applying the instant kill effect, no. The final boss in particular has a fuck-you move that is in the former category but still can't be dealt with by guarding. If guarding fails try stunning or binding when you know the attack is coming to just cuck them from doing it altogether.

The damn boobed party members are the best way to kill the new chickeners of the update. Awayuki has a preemptive attack all skill that can go immediately after the preemptive Bind skill you put on someone else. Prim also has a defense-ignoring skill just in case.

What's a good way to get Machine Doll's magic defense a bit higher? I'm trying to get through the Ovitri gatekeepers and while she's doing mostly fine against the physical one the magic one is dealing enough damage that she can't redirect and Chimera keeps getting obliterated as a result.

During my TL of The Silver Tower, I've come to an odd conclusion (Lore speculation and spoilers): maybe Versa is exactly what Ordowald needs to save it from the mana drought. See, the entire postgame is about ensuring the Dark Age doesn't return - the Dark Age being a time when extremely powerful monsters against which humans had no chance roamed the world.
Now, what do extremely powerful monsters need? It's why Sequel monsters are all sex-shaped and there are so few true dragons: they need a lot of mana. Could it be that by preventing the Dark Age, the Silver Dragon and Rifar's party doomed what would become Ordowald to the mana famine? Maybe the only way to set the world right is to start a new Dark Age, but with the mana-humans of modern Ordowald who can utilize the new era's mana able to stand up to what would come.

From how I understand it, the Dark Age had more mana than the Age of Myth, which had more mana than the modern age. However, since in the Age of Myth the world was in balance more or less - no monsters that no hero could handle that could utilize the mana better than people, no female dominance from depleted mana - nobody really noticed it. In the modern day, post mana depletion and post Mother of Life, the mana-human females utilize mana differently somehow. I'm wondering if Versa has realized this and wants to cause the Dark Age since she thinks that could fix things. Versa is a called a calamity, but as we know from the Malice-calamity ending from Asylum, she doesn't want to destroy everything. She's the Sin of the Era, which as an existence means "everything" about her era. In the previous Sin's case, it was the entirety of the despair brought about by the Dark Age and its monsters' tyranny, which makes sense why the Silver Dragon and (his possible heir) Ino would want to keep what they saw as a true Calamity sealed no matter how nice Versa seemed. In her case, she's the Sin of either the modern day of Ordowald, or if she's old enough, the Age of Myth. In the former case, more than anything else, she's really horny, rather than a horrific force of destruction and despair that her predecessor from the Dark Age was. In the latter case, the Age of Myth, despite some incidents, was a much brighter, more hopeful world (hell, a bunch of humans slew the Sin of the Era which even a god couldn't scratch), so if anything, I wonder if she would epitomize some sort of sin of misplaced hope and causing the new Dark Age really would be a calamity..

The trajectory of the series has so far been that, with each games progression, the propensity of curses is increasing, and their presence is rapidly letting itself be known, spreading throughout the land. Every game that comes, Versa gets stronger, for Versa is an accumulation of curses herself, and with every enemy overcome, the in hour reckoning draws near. So far, every opponent we've come across has something of a thread behind him, tying it to a grander, more artificial orchestration, here which Idea can be considered culprit.
The sin of this era is the existence of Mana-Tank himself, the linchpin, without whose effort any realization against all prior opponent would not be possible. Moreover, he's an aberration, not man by nature produced, but man through some artificiality created. He is, put plainly, a creation, a construct used to defy order.
Every enemy thus far defeated has been an outcome of that disorder, the defiance against order, and as Ino said, insanity begets darkness and darkness begets insanity, therefore the disorder ManaTank begot, conceived the order of a ruling known as Versa, the crystallization of a wish in all enemies past to restore an order of their victory, and just the same the worlds desire to place it among its due course. Of course, when you examine that in action, it's a calamity, but when you examine it from world stability, it's letting circumstances continue as they should've.
Regardless, with every opponent we overcome, we likewise overcome an order, and in doing so, we only make Versa stronger as the epitome of a corrector against any disorder.
In the final confrontation against Versa, we'll have a party of exactly only 6 characters, each which represent a point on the star of david, the primogeniture hexagram. Our progression throughout the series already confirms as much. The elementals would be: air, earth, water, fire, spirit, light.
Air as Rabi, Kuruha as spirit, Auris as water, Fire as Nazuna, and Ino as light.

Honestly the idea that Versa might just end up winning on at least some level seems plausible to me. It's also worth noting that in ASYLUM, Ino mentions that too much prosperity as a result of the Star beating out Calamity too consistently is just a bad as Calamity winning too much. It really could just end up being that the world is too broken to salvage and what it needs is Versa to just hit CTRL+Z so the world can try to not fuck it up this time.

Another thing I noticed in Silver Tower: the Silver Dragon never asked Rifar to slay the Sin of the Era. Avrita, the Dragon's last servant, encourages Rifar to do something about the darkness left in the tower, but mentions that the dragon, despite going to where the Sin was many times in the past, never defeated it. What if the Silver Dragon never was actually trying to destroy the Sin, but merely contain it and eventually purify the darkness of its despair, and Rifar and Avrita's misunderstanding of the Dragon's last wish resulted in the mana famine by wit of sending the world out of balance? The Silver Dragon itself never talks about destroying the darkness, only purifying it.

Really not feeling Silver Tower's postgame.
It went from fun dungeon crawling to nothing but grinding instantly - the sin monsters have 4x HP of the final boss, so in order to gear up to them, you have to do these repeatable dungeons over and over to get equipment to synth together into better equipment. That might not sound so bad, but the issue is that it's an equipment gacha - you get 1 of the particular dungeon's equipment for each clear, and it's random so you could theoretically get the same one you don't need five times in a row. I'm honestly tempted to add some sort of pity function - like you get one unit of "pity material" per run, and when you've got five, you can take it to the synth shop to turn it into whatever weapon you need. It wouldn't be how Hakika made it so I'm not sure if I will, but I'm only into day one of the grind and I'm already fed up.

Yolnaya like wise is weirdly awkward as I recall and aside from the intial scene everything else fails to deliver I felt. The mommy stuff I really liked from faria, but again it comes out of left field, which is a bit of a turn off, same thing for leonis, and robot is kind of just robot, she's nice, and I wont say is entirely emotionless, but never been a fan of it in general.

The problem isn't that it's a sequel game. Aeon just needs to be rewritten into a relatively big cog in the machine instead of the engine and oil that he was. By the time Auris and friends return to Alzhett, He should already be dusting his hands and ready to leave. Leaving the people who rely on his industry for a living to fend for themselves. Revealing the truth would then become a "have we acomplished anything by doing this?". The Arbeis would certainly believe the truth. The Nobles already do but can't say anything, and the commoners are more afraid of punishment than they hate faeries.

That's all the distortions/sin monsters in Silver Tower done. I've got to say, I don't think a support character in any prequel/Sequel game has been quite as broken as Hazuki - she gets two two-turn binds per fight (Crowel gets one bind) so on anything that doesn't have double action it's possible to keep the boss from acting for the first six turns or to null its finisher three times.
Also, and I'm glad I caught this - I misunderstood a variable and thought you had to kill all 6 sin monsters to get into the final dungeon - you only need to take out one to get in, but all six to challenge the true final boss.

There’s no clear meta aside from Lec being the best party member in the game, but Nazuna and Sheila are the best damage dealers by far, and Nosh is the best tank. Pirila is still great for the superboss though because of her crit immunity passive. Everyone else is plenty usable, I haven’t really seen anyone use Alma at all though. She’s way too limited because of her TP based skills when everyone else uses SP.

The most popular strategy is Auris’s fat stunlocking knight build, putting Toiler’s Brand on her to abuse Ice Jail and Armored Blow for tons of free turns via bind and stun. I generally don't agree with the "it gatekeeps itself" mindset because Blacksouls and Fear & Hunger showed it's just not true, but in the case of SEQUEL I think it's at least a little true in the sense that since it takes as much digging as it does to get to the greater lore of the series, I imagine most people would just see it as any other eroge and move on. Even then though, the issue there is the chance of people making a massive stink over the flatties and the series gaining infamy that way, or if the series is subjected to the same fate as ToToNo, Saya no Uta, or Subahibi where you have massive droves of people making the series their aesthetic without even knowing it's an eroge, then trying to "reclaim" it when they find out they aren't the target audience. These are highly unlikely though, I think in the long run we'll probably be fine.
Actually, just before posting this it also hit me that a pretty big issue is the sheer crossover between BS and SEQUEL fans that could lead to some spillover, but I doubt that would happen too since BS oldfags hate the newfags enough to never want to be around them.

I have no idea honestly. I played Blight like 5 or 6 years ago, then forgot about it, then remembered about the series last year and now I'm up to Kludge and soon starting LD. I didn't hung around /vrpg/ at the time, maybe I've seen it on the 2d hentai games general on /vg/ (that I didn't hung around either but maybe I was just really horny). Holy fuck, nice. Just know that Ghost Path 2 is an absolute monster of a game, it takes like 50 hours to do everything. Hakika just kept updating it with stuff after launch, including 3 more party members in the postgame.

Hakika killed it with innocent rules desu. The game being less linear gels really well with the minion hunting mechanic. Now i can jump from the ice star straight to the water one to grind with the tougher mobs. Then rush shark and chimera. It's great.

I think the first time I saw any of Hakika's work was on either gelbooru or sankaku complex, but as for the games proper, I ended up getting into the series by looking through F95- Hakika has a very nice looking artstyle, so I ended up getting drawn towards it, and after having become fully enamored with the series, I've gotta say it way outshines the majority of the games you can find on there. One game I end up thinking about a lot is Princess Conquest, which in comparison to SEQUEL really does seem like just this excessive imbalanced mess leaving much wanting.
So I guess this reveals two sins of mine; I use F95 (people seem to dislike the place), and I started with Awake first (because Blight isn't on the site.)

It did end up resulting in me eventually translating Atline because nobody else would do it, which is a positive.
