Extremely dumb take and factually untrue, too. There's literally ONE thing you need to do, and the game tells you to do this: play through the game at 0 SEN. That's it. Done. You'll naturally pick up all the of Red's encounters (at bonfies) and the fire memories (all are along the way). If you needed a guide for that then maybe video games aren't your thing.
The opening thing is worse, yes, but there are hints in the game for that, too. This part is harder to get, but also very doable guideless.

RPGMaker games are such a pain to run on Linux. I can't play DLC3 because the game keeps crashing randomly. I never even got Black Souls 2 to run at a stable 60 fps (the only way to achieve is to run the game via a web framework called NW.js but that comes with its own set of problems). AAA games work out of the box on my machine but somehow I can't get this fucking game to work properly no matter how hard I try.

I tried to use Pumpkinbro's character sprite for an NPC and it only let me use a fraction of the character while stock ones let me select normally. I also noticed every image in BS2's folder is smaller to stock assets, had to manually resize the face image as well. Is there any way I can unfuck that character sprite selection?

I already confirmed that myself, not just in one of the previous threads back during my N.P.CDrem playthrough, but also with other things outside of the RPGM sphere.

So it's been quite some time since I've posted here but I wanted to finally finish this game after coming this far.
I'm currently in the Windless Valley with this equip set and Margaret as my covenant. From what I remember my strategy at the time was inducing madness and self buffing before blasting with hans machine gun and the anchor.

And while all of this is happening, all of the potentially interesting members of the original quartet fade almost entirely out of relevance, and not in an artistically interesting way that connotes absence, but rather feeling like Yanigahara had an one idea and then pivoted to another 100 pages in. Fuck this book. All its mystery and intrigue is simply contingent on hinting at scenes of impossible grotesque abuse and then falling completely flat once they are described (and not even taken to the truly absurd proportions they could be). How is it that Tropic of Cancer manages to feel more transgressive than a book with child sex slavery?

I genuinely think that being familiar with what the female writers of today are putting out, both as a part of the romantasy genre and through fanfic sites like Ao3, is crucial to understanding BS1 as a story. Mary Sue as a whole is practically modelled after those types of writers, she's a pastiche of your average fanfic writer (overwhelmingly female) who, whether through overexposure to internet at a very young age or as a cope for some traumatic element, takes on the mantle of a writer and turns up the abuse of her favourite characters to 11. Mary Sue is not wholly a imagined character, she serves as a window to the mind of a certain, real, archetype. Some of the shit you can find on Ao3 would make an average anon here blush and barf, Mary Ann is really nothing special in the grand scheme of things, her pranks are even somewhat cute compared to what a real flesh-and-blood fanfic writer is capable of pulling off in abuse of her (often stolen) characters.
There is also, of course, a layer of auto-criticism and self-deprecation. You're already surely familiar with Touhou Igyoukyo, which I'm pretty sure predates Black Souls. The same cycle is repeated there, the author takes their favourite characters, twists them, and watches the original ones twist in misery. Except that one is played straight, there is no metafictional element, any safety breaks that could soften the blow or give meaning to the suffering. This might just be on me for only watching the early episodes, but even if EMMM gave it some actual lore later, it doesn't change the nature of early, pre-BS1 episodes. EMMM *IS* Mary Sue, they're one and the same, just one seen from a fictional, self-parodic lens.

So how much do you think the steam release is going to go for? I would say 5 euros for the first game. A bit too generic and only really shows it's full card at ending D, with that being a cliffhanger.

I booted up BS2 today, kept going and got them done in ~144 floors, currently sitting in Layer 947.

It's supposed to be a sprite of Alice Lidell as she appears in the VN section of BS2 DLC3.
I'd like to get my hands on a finished sprite for reasons.
I found it in an old download at arca.live featuring the characters from their general content mod for BS2. Seems to be a sprite they never finished and eventually just scrapped because it's not in the latest download of their mod.
Or I could be wrong and maybe I just haven't found a finished version of the sheet.

So anyway I just wanted to know if any of you have ever seen a finished version of picrel, that's all. Cheers.
