A new Owlcat RPG. Finally, Mass Effect will be dethroned.

Even if we say ME3 reactions are overblown, that was 13 years ago and Andromeda which sucked ass was 8.
More accurately, this and Exodus will make ME4 seem retarded, same way any RPG made Veilguard look liek a joke

Owlcat shits so many games but none of them are above 6/10
This philosophy in designing games is also apparent in their actual games by introducing a fuckton of classes and feats while only few of them are worth anything.

So basically their whole philosophy is quantity over quality.

True, but I think, for me anyway, it's due to their dumb ass mini games they bake into the game that are almost required. Like kingdom management in the first game and the whole crusade shit in the 2nd pathfinder. Yeah yeah you can set a lot to auto, but if you do, you miss out on a lot of content and you still have to interact with the systems on a base level. It bores me to tears. Especially the poor time usage where you have to juggle events and calendar days like you're playing Persona 5 and if you miss something you can permanently lose the game.
Don't put any of that faggot shit in this game and you might get my money, Owlfat.

>This philosophy in designing games is also apparent in their actual games by introducing a fuckton of classes and feats while only few of them are worth anything.

Owlcats main problems are
>poor management and planning, leading to overscoping, massively unpolished and poor balancing
>bad/mediocre system, game, quest and level designers
>writers/narrative designers having more say and controls what quests, events and areas are like

So Larian is the only studio from that CRPG renaissance that has kept making classic style CRPGs?

Obsidian went Bethesda, owlcat goes bioware, Inxile is going first person too right?

Time is a flat circle..

i bet every other npc will be using "belter creole", god, imagine the cringe. i dropped the series because that shit was unbearable, even with jared harris playing the OPA guy
i read the books instead but those were fucking shit too. actually if the tv series had been finished, it might have been better than the books just by virtue of being shorter and cutting out unnecessary plotlines.
as for this game, shit, who knows. it's probably some petty plot like how did those stealth fighters get invented or how the protomolecule got smuggled somewhere. not very exciting. call me shallow, but if i've already seen every major development in a setting's universe, and a confrontation with an existential threat get resolved, i just don't care if you serve me a plot about some niggers salvaging shit

I actually enjoyed belter creole until the most reason seasons after Amazon bought and it became cape shit. First four seasons of the show were pretty good showing off the universe in a variety different ways. After season 4 with the alien planet it's just existential threat hard choices existential threat backstab existential threat

The point is the distinction from a pure shooter like gears.
Why do you fucktards have to stick with your guns no matter the take?
There is an obvious point of reference more so than gears, which people will use

i never made it that far in the tv show but this character was really funny in the books. since he made complete sense almost every time, the authors just had to come out and have the crew of the roci read his fucking mind and tell the reader that umm actually he's only pretending to make sense, inside he's a psycho who only behaves rationally so he could justify his need to kill others
it was really fucking stupid, even by those fucking hacks' standards

First of they're going to add classes. One of which is going to be a a guy with a shield, melee weapon, and a lot of, Allah forgive me for saying this, hitpoints who is supposed to "tank". Then you have a guy with a gun who deals a lot of damage but has to stay behind the tank. And the third class uses mag-, I mean, "technology" to buff their allies.
Also, 90% of the gameplay is going to be "exploring" Linear dungeons where you just stroll from pointless combat encounter to pointless combat encounter.
But hey, once you kill enough pirates you'll get enough XP to level up and in just a couple more levels you'll reach the requirement for equipping that rare Marsian Power Armor you got as a quest reward in act 2.

I'm looking forward to the game, I'll probably buy it, I'll probably have fun playing it, but I expect them add a lot of filler instead of engaging content.

That is pretty much a D&D trademark from 3rd edition onward rather than Owlcat specific. Ivory tower design with trap choices and requiring system mastery to not suck is a poor way to design an RPG but normalfags love that shit.
