>>3809638You can try the original first, start with Phantasy Star II, as that one has a great PS2 remake with quality of life. If you can tolerate the original then good for you, you have grit and gumption, something twas necessary back in the ancient time that is the 90s and you had to endure this sort of thing in RPGs.
If it's too hard or dated you will enjoy the PS2 remake as long as you can deal with the graphics.
I played the original and beat it when I was a kid. I replayed it, and the remake. I like the remake. It adds things that make the gameplay smoother and more entertaining, but there is that challenge to the original that you feel proud to have earned. Depends on what you want out of the gaming experience.
